day#2-trip to Fort Edmonton Park

Today we woke up and had breakfast around 8:00( a little too early for some *alex) then we unpack our bags after that they did the first inspection. We had a little down time while we waited for two members of a group in Redwater. Eventually one of the members had to leave for work, but the other stayed with us and we went to Fort Edmonton Park where we ate our lunch.

Fort Edmonton was built in 1795. Fort Edmonton was founded by the Hudson Bay company. It was created for the fur trade. when we arrived we went through the gift shop then on to the train to go to the first era in 1846. we had a tour guide show us around then we were free to wander around the fort and look all the different rooms. it was very interestsing to see they way lived and the clothes that they wore. it was really like we traveled in to the passed.

It took us about two and a half- three hours to walk through out the entire park. It was very interesting to see all the different ways of life and all of the old tools and shops.

After Fort Edmonton we all climbed back into the vans to come back to Headquarters. For supper there were barbequed pork chops, mashed potatoes, carrots, coleslaw, macaroni salad, and rolls. Once supper was finished and all of the dishes were cleaned up, we got free time to just hang out. Then we played a game called "Are you smarter than a Spur?" kind of like are you smarter than a 5th grader. the spurs made up the questions and we were broken into two teams. It was alot of fun, especially when one team beat the other by 24 points!

After the game, we all kind of wandered off to do our own thing until it was time for bed. Tomorrow will be an early morning and we have our first official day of WORKSHOPS! after the workshop we are supposed to be going to West Edmonton Mall. Yay for waterslides and shopping!

For now that's all..
